Leh is a city in Ladakh in the Himalayan region. It is the largest city and the joint capital of Ladakh. Leh is at an altitude of 3,524 m (11,562 ft), and is connected to Srinagar in the southwest and to Manali in the south. The city is located on the bank of the Indus River and the mountains dominate the landscape around the Leh.

KARGIL

Kargil is a city in Ladakh. It is the second-largest city in Ladakh after Leh. Kargil is located 204 kilometres (127 mi) east of Srinagar and 234 kilometres (145 mi) to the west of Leh. Kargil has an average elevation of 2,676 metres (8,780 feet), and is situated along the banks of the Suru River. Kargil provides the most accessible route to Leh.

DRASS

Drass also known as the "snow land", is a town and hill station in Ladakh. It is at a height of 10,800 feet (3,300 m) and is located between Zoji La pass and Kargil. A tourist hub for its high-altitude trekking routes and tourist sites, it is often called "The Gateway to Ladakh". 

Pangong Tso

Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake spanning eastern Ladakh and West Tibet situated at an elevation of 4,225 m (13,862 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and divided into five sublakes, called Pangong Tso, Tso Nyak, Rum Tso (twin lakes) and Nyak Tso. Pangong Tso is surrounded by three mountain ranges.

NUBRA VALLEY

Nubra is a historical region of Ladakh. The average altitude of the valley is more than 10,000 feet (3,000 m) above the sea level. The most common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La pass from Leh.
